Camp Creek State Park WV is located in Summers County, West Virginia. It is one of the most popular trout fishing spots in the state and can be reached by taking I-64 exit 139 for Camp Creek Road. The park features 17 miles of streams stocked with rainbow and brown trout, making it a popular destination for anglers year round. Anglers will find outstanding scenery as well as plenty of opportunities to catch trout in pools, runs, and riffles along the stream banks. Fishing is allowed with artificial lures or natural bait such as worms or crayfish. All anglers must have a valid West Virginia fishing license before they can fish at Camp Creek State Park WV. In addition to fishing, visitors will find numerous parks trails that offer excellent hikes with views of native wildlife and spectacular waterfalls throughout the area. There are also many camping sites available for those who wish to stay overnight at Camp Creek State Park WV.
Camp Creek Campgrounds
Mash Fork Campground- This campground has 26 trailer/tent sites with electrical hookup, features a heated bathhouse and two accessible sites. Camping units may be filled up from the water pumps before pulling onto campground. Picnic tables, grills and fire rings are at all campsites
Blue Jay Campground:-This campground has 14 rustic tent sites for your stay. Sites include pit toilets, water fountain, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings.
Double C - Horse and Rider Campground:-This new campground option is available for horseback riders and their horse. Campground features access to approximately 35 miles of horseback trails for you and your horse. There are two, four, and six horse occupancy sites available at this section. Campers may only bring the number of horses in which their campsite stalls can accommodate. You must reserve sites at this site.
Trout Stocking at Camp Creek WV
This stream in Mercer County, is stocked once in February and once every two week from March-May. This creek is easy to fish as a path runs along the stream. There is plenty of parking.
