Trophy Trout.My friends Jerry,Kevin and Lisa operate it. I've been there 4 times in March and have caught 14 Citations so far.Several 9 1/2 pounders, 12 Rainbow and 2 Brook Citations. There have been several 10 to 13 pounders caught in March. Cost is $40.00 per day for 6 fish.

April was an excellent trout fishing month
at Sugar Grove. the water was in great shape and the fish were hitting well. Anything white worked well. Hats off to the two young men I watched fishing with Trout Magnets. They were really doing well with them and caught some great fish.
May is a little different story. The water was low but the trout hit well early in the morning and again after the sun dropped over the mountain. There well still excellent trout caught. With the times I went I managed to catch 19 Citations with 2 9 1/2 pounders. With the water low or any other time there are still those who think the have to wade in the stream to catch fish. WRONG> Stay out of the water and also keep your shadow out of the water. It spooks the trout.
Jerry and Kevin are putting Quality trout in the stream. Take a day off and go over to fish. This key to catching trout is to be patient! They are going to feed some time during the day. They get hungry just like we do, it's just waiting them out like deer hunting.
We are working on a film and need about 15 more minutes worth of shooting. We hope to have it on Versus and the Sportsmans channel by fall. Until next time keep your line in the water and GOOD LUCK catching the BIG ONE.

So I recently learned about the Trophy Trout farm in Sugar Grove and I am very anxious to come out and fish the stream. I took it upon myself to come out and find the Farm last week but did not have a chance to fish as it was late in the day and I had to head back home(Waynesboro, VA). But I am ready to plan a trip out there very soon! I will post after my trip!
